The patient was not felt to be a surgical candidate. He was referred for chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Chemotherapy was initiated but notes were not included in the medical records of this lawsuit. Radiation oncology consultation note is shown below.
The patient continued with treatment for the following 18 months. He had an outpatient visit with his primary that mentions hospice and palliative care.
This is the conclusion of the medical records from the lawsuit. There is no death certificate or notes in his chart. A Google search for the patient’s name and location of residence did not turn up any obituary results.
