The physician was most concerned about abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) based on his exam, therefore a CT scan of the patient’s abdomen and pelvis was ordered. Due to the patient’s documented history of anaphylactic reaction to contrast dye, it was ordered as a non-contrast study.
