On arrival to the receiving hospital, the helicopter team was met by the neurosurgeon. He did a quick exam and then promptly took her to the operating room. His consult note is shown below.

The patient remained in the hospital for the following 9 days. She was eventually transferred out of the ICU. She survived the fall and surgery, but did have lingering neurological complications.
The discharge summary is shown below.
She was transferred from Colorado back to a local hospital in Maryland so she could be closer to home. Following this she was admitted to a rehabilitation hospital. She was ultimately discharged home and continues to receive outpatient rehabilitation services.
